Deepening Faith: Insights on Matthew 5, Salt & Light, and Bible Study
Share
Hello friends, thanks for coming back to read my blog! I've really enjoyed writing about Jesus, faith, and jewelry. Blogging has become a peaceful way for me to reflect and share my thoughts.
I just finished my second week of women’s Bible study, and I love it! I’ve met amazing, God-loving women, and it’s been wonderful to hear their stories and connect with such a supportive group. Bible study has helped me explore the Bible more deeply, reading chapters I hadn’t read before. It reminds me of the importance of having fellow Christians to support, pray, and grow with.
This week, we studied Matthew 5:13-16, which talks about being the "salt and light" of the world. Jesus says in Matthew 5:13, “You are the salt of the earth." Salt adds flavor and preserves. As Christians, we are like salt—we make the world better by sharing God’s love through our actions and words.
Matthew 5:14-16 also says we are “the light of the world.” Without God, the world is in darkness, but we are called to shine His light. Even with all the distractions in the world, God wants us to spread His light everywhere we go. Matthew 5:11 tells us that we will face persecution for our faith, but we must stay strong, knowing that our light will shine in the darkness.
Even when life is tough, we need to stand firm in God’s Word and show His light in every part of our lives—at work, with friends, and with family. Earthly things may fade away, but the blessings of Jesus and His Word last forever.
If you’ve read My Christian Testimony: From Buddhism to Faith in Christ, you know I’m the first Christian in my Buddhist family. It’s been challenging, but I remain strong in my faith because Jesus is my Savior. My family doesn’t fully understand my faith, but I keep praying for their salvation. Since I was saved in 2022, I’ve found peace in Christ, and I trust that God will work in their hearts in His perfect time.
